We believe kids learn by doing and provide outdoor-based activities that encourage active participation in a safe and fun environment.

Kids will have the opportunity to try activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, caving and even spending a day on an organic farm leaving them with a memorable and enriched summer camp experience.

What we are doing...

Mondays - Climbing & Caving

This day takes place at Metcalfe Rock. The morning will have the campers becoming familiar with all the gear that is needed for climbing - i.e. the harness, helmets, ropes and carabiners. After going through our safety demo, the campers will get the opportunity to climb this spectacular limestone cliff. There will be a variety of climbs set up to challenge them.

After lunch we'll put headlamps on our helmets and go "underground". The afternoon is full of adventure as we explore tunnels and passageways deep within the rock! And no doubt, we will get a "little" dirty.

Tuesdays - Organic Farm

Organic farmer for a day @ Chescott Farm in Beaver Valley Spend a day with the farmers at Niagara Escarpment Organics headquarters overlooking the beautiful Beaver Valley. Kids will get their hands dirty learning about how vegetables are grown and the interactions between agricultural and natural ecosystems.

A safe, fun, unforgettable outdoor experience.

Wednesdays - Paddling & Mountain Biking

During the morning we'll be setting out in canoes and kayaks and heading down the Beaver River. We'll put in at the Epping Side Rd. and paddle down to our home-base in Heathcote. Along the way we'll be sure to stop to check out the birdlife and identify some of the critters who live along the banks of this beautiful river.

The afternoon has us drying off and then hitting the trails of the Loree Forest on our bikes. Not only are there great views of the Bay from up here but also the terrain is ideal for all ages!

Thursdays - SeaKayaking & Beach Survivor

The beginning of the day is spent at Northwinds Beach. In the morning we'll learn the difference between a river kayak and a sea kayak. Then, after our lesson we'll head out in a sea kayak to explore the shoreline of the Bay.

The afternoon will be spent near Ravenna where the kids will be given a menagerie of games to play that will not only entertain them but also educate them.

Fridays - Exploration Day!

Duncan Crevice & Caves Nature Reserve is a maze of natural hidden passageways in a magical setting. The kids will get to set out and explore this amazing area under the supervision of their instructors. They'll get to plan which way they want to go, seek out caves and actually explore them! What at an adventure!

We invite the parents/guardians to join us when you pick up your children on this day for a closing ceremony. This gives the adults an opportunity to hear & see what the kids have been doing all week as we finish up our Week of Kids Camp.
